Place
Toscana has been baking cantucci (biscotti) for centuries. The region's dry climate, reliable wheat, and a tradition built around shelf life shaped a recipe that keeps well and travels far. Every box in this variety pack comes from that same tradition and the same Tuscan bakery.

Process
Each flavor in this box uses the same core process: dough mixed with the key ingredient, shaped into a log, baked once, cut into individual pieces, then baked a second time. The double bake is what makes cantucci: low moisture, no preservatives needed, weeks of shelf life. Six flavors, one technique.

People
The family we work with in Toscana has been baking cantucci for three generations. Every flavor in this box comes from their bakery: same base dough, same oven, same twice-baking sequence. We have worked with them since Gusta's first order.

How to use it

Serve each flavor with espresso, hot chocolate, or sweet wine. Each biscotti holds through a 2-3 second dip. Match lighter flavors to white or latte hot chocolate; dip the chocolate into dark.

Questions

  • Can I dunk these?
Yes. Dip into espresso, hot chocolate, or sweet wine. Hold for 2-3 seconds; eat before it softens past the bite. That is the traditional Tuscan way.
  • How long do they keep once opened?
2-3 weeks in an airtight container at room temperature. Avoid the fridge. It introduces moisture and off-flavors. A metal tin holds them better than the resealable bag.
  • How long does the sealed bag keep?
Check the best-by date on each box. Typically 6-9 months from production per box. Once opened, keep in an airtight container; 2-3 weeks at their best.
  • Which flavors are included, and which contain nuts?
Six boxes: Almond, Pistachio, Chocolate, Cranberry, Ginger and Lemon, and Orange. Almond (20% almonds) and Pistachio (18% pistachios) contain tree nuts. Chocolate contains dark chocolate (22%). All flavors contain wheat, eggs, and butter.
  • What is the difference between biscotti and cantucci?
Cantucci is the Tuscan name for twice-baked cookies. The rest of Italy calls them biscotti, which just means twice cooked. Same thing, same region.
  • Are these very hard?
Biscotti are intentionally firm. A 2-3 second dip softens the outside without losing structure. Eaten dry they are firm, not aggressive.
  • How is this shipped?
From our New York warehouse via Amazon fulfillment. In-stock orders ship within 1-2 business days. Free shipping over $75.
  • What if it arrives damaged or I don't love it?
Write to us. We refund within 60 days, no questions asked.

Wow! Super fresh and tasty. Perfect with morning coffee. Best biscotti we've ever eaten.

Good sampler

Good way to figure out favorites. Almond won in our house, cranberry second. Chocolate disappeared first because children have no patience.

Strong across all six flavors

Strong across all six. Some were better than others for my personal taste but none were bad. That consistency is the real thing here.

Good but a lot to work through

Six flavors is a lot for one person. They stay fresh in the tins but I found myself not finishing the less-favorite ones quickly. Good quality overall. Just a consideration for solo buyers.

For the coffee crowd in your life

I have a circle of friends who are serious about their morning coffee routine. This variety pack is the gift for that crowd. Everyone has their flavor. The arguments about which one is best are the point.

Perfect for introducing someone to biscotti

My partner had never been a biscotti person. I gave her the variety pack thinking one flavor might convert her. She ended up liking three of them. The orange was the one that did it.

Whole family has now weighed in

Everyone in my household tried everything and we have a fully ranked list. The cranberry was last (it's fine, just not our thing). The pistachio was first by unanimous decision. The ginger lemon was my personal runner-up.

Discovered ginger lemon

Had never tried ginger lemon biscotti before. That was my surprise favorite in this pack. Would never have ordered it on its own. The variety pack is the right way to discover that.

Best gift, full stop

I have given this to seven people. I have received a thank-you for every single one. It photographs well, it arrives in good shape, and people have opinions about which flavor they liked most. That is a conversation starter and a good gift.

Good variety

Good variety. Every flavor is solid. I just already knew I preferred pistachio so the variety didn't unlock much for me. Worth it as a first order or a gift though.

Everyone at the office had a different favorite

Brought this to work. Six flavors, about twelve people. Everyone had a different favorite. Zero consensus. Which means every single flavor is good enough to win.

Found my flavor

Before this I had only ever tried almond biscotti. Opened the variety pack and worked through all six. The orange with my morning espresso is now a ritual I don't want to give up.

Good but one or two flavors werent for me

Most of these were excellent. The ginger lemon was not my thing, too citrus-forward. But that's a flavor preference, not a quality issue. Everything else was great and I'll be reordering my favorites.

Perfect gift assortment

Gave this to my mother as a holiday gift. She spent three mornings working through each flavor with her coffee and called me after each one to give me a report. That's either a great gift or I've made a monster. Either way she's happy.

The pistachio won

The pistachio won my household vote by a significant margin. Everyone agreed. Reordering the pistachio on its own now. But the discovery process was worth it.

Six Italian regions. Nothing reformulated. Imported direct.
